A 31-year-old woman died Thursday morning after the car she was driving ran off Interstate 8 east of Sunrise Highway, a spokeswoman for the California Highway Patrol said.
The woman, whose identity has not been released pending notification of family, was driving east on the freeway. The cause of the accident was unknown, spokeswoman Debbie Russell said.
