W. R. Grace said it bought 52 restaurants.

The New York-based firm’s restaurant group reached a tentative agreement under which its wholly owned subsidiary, Grace Restaurant Co. of Irvine, will buy 27 Darryl’s theme restaurants from General Mills. In addition, Grace Restaurant’s majority-owned subsidiary, El Torito Restaurants, also of Irvine, will acquire 25 Casa Gallardo Mexican restaurants, also from General Mills. The purchase of all 52, which is expected to be completed before the end of the year, is valued at about $60 million.
