L.A. Task Force Urges AIDS Education Program

Noting that 1,000 county residents are expected to contract AIDS this year, the Los Angeles City/County AIDS Task Force has recommended that the county spend $500,000 to educate the public about the deadly virus.
Preventive education is an “urgent priority” to slow the transmission of acquired immune deficiency syndrome, said task force chairman Dr. Neil Schram.
