Three people were in serious condition Wednesday at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills as the result of an accident in Pacoima.
The accident occurred at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday when a car driven by Maria Montero, 46, of Arleta ran a stop sign on Dorrington Avenue and was broadsided by a truck driven by Christopher Ysais, 44, of Pacoima, according to Don Bellante, accident investigator for the California Highway Patrol.
Three passengers in the car, Connie Montero, 21, Cindy Montero, 20, and Fernando Montero, 18, all of Arleta, were in serious condition in the intensive care unit, a hospital spokeswoman said.
