Second-Quarter Profits Fall 22% at Datum Inc.

Datum Inc. of Anaheim Wednesday reported that second-quarter profits declined 22% to $242,000 from $312,000 a year earlier. Revenues dropped just 1% to $4.68 million from the previous year’s total of $4.74 million.
The company, which manufactures precision time and frequency measurement devices, said that profits for the first half of the year were $482,000, 22% below the $622,000 posted in the first six months of 1984. Sales were $9.11 million, just above the $9.07 million recorded last year.
