RIGHT ON, RAMBO

“Rambo,” as it also was in “First Blood,” has nothing to do with patriotism, either overtly or subconsciously.
What people like about these movies and Stallone’s character is the single man, strong, clever and able, fighting against apparently impossible odds and beating the odds.
This movie is not a political fantasy--or at least the major attraction, I contend, is not political. The film plays off that desire in everyone to be more than just a statistic--to count in a big way.
