Fire at White House

WASHINGTON — A cleaning crew using gas torches to strip paint from an exterior window sill at the White House touched off a fire today, but it was extinguished in about 30 seconds with little damage. Firemen said the damage was confined to the immediate area of the window in a police squad room.
