A 23-year-old Reseda man was electrocuted and a co-worker seriously injured Wednesday at a construction site in Van Nuys.
Los Angeles Police Lt. Richard Pooler said the two men were operating a forklift about 1 p.m. at Vesper Avenue and Erwin Street when they evidently came in contact with a power line.
The fatally injured man was taken to Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:47 p.m., a hospital spokeswoman said. The victim’s name was not released pending notification of his family.
A co-worker identified only as a 28-year-old man from Los Angeles was in serious condition at the hospital.
