You’re right! The surf, sand and hilly vistas of the Malibu region are a gem in need of protection.
The Malibu Township Council has worked long and hard to bring into the local coastal planning process proposals for moderate growth with appropriate enforceable requirements to protect natural and cultural resources and serve the needs of residents and visitors, present and future in the Malibu/Santa Monica Mountains area.
Your editorial support (July 8) of the Coastal Commission’s efforts to carry out the mandate of the California Coastal Act is most welcome.
