Roger Corman’s newly created Concorde Pictures and Cinema Group, another production company specializing in low-budget films, have joined to create a distribution company to handle theatrical bookings of their films across the United States.
Concorde/Cinema Group, announced at a Beverly Hills press conference Wednesday, will have offices in six cities--Los Angeles, New York, St. Louis, Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago--and plans to release 15 to 20 films a year.
Concorde and Cinema Group will continue to produce and acquire their own films and each retains all foreign and ancillary rights.
Among the first titles being sold by the new distribution company: Concorde’s “Club Sandwich” and “Cocaine Wars,” and Cinema Group’s “Born American” and “Hollywood Vice Squad.”
