The Fallbrook Library reopened for business in a temporary location Wednesday, 13 weeks after an arson fire destroyed the original building and more than 30,000 books, causing more than $1 million in damages.
The new facility, a 100-year-old structure once occupied by a hardware company, is much smaller than the original library, but will serve as home for more than a year, county officials said.
Darryl Ray Mick, 18, is awaiting trial on vandalism and arson charges connected with the fire.
