Fire Guts Cabinet Shop: A blaze caused by an electrical malfunction gutted a cabinet shop in a Mission Viejo business complex Monday night, causing $41,000 in damage to the structure and contents, Orange County fire officials said. The blaze at 9:30 p.m. at R & T Cabinets, 23881 Via Fabricante, was contained in about 90 minutes by firefighters from eight companies, according to County Fire Department spokesman Pat Antrim. “It pretty much gutted the entire suite,” he said. “It was prompted by some kind of combustable liquid--what kind, we’re not sure yet.” The cabinet contracting firm is owned by Roger Shore of San Juan Capistrano.
