Citing its biggest month in the company’s history, AirCal reported a record number of passengers boarded and revenue passenger miles flown for June. A spokesman for the Newport Beach airline said AirCal’s passenger boardings totaled 423,878, an increase of 17.3% from 361,285 for June, 1984. Revenue passenger miles--miles flown by paying passengers--were 178.3 million miles, a 25.4% increase from the 142.2 million posted in June, 1984. The company attributed its third consecutive month of gains in part to an aggressive marketing program.
