Richard C. Leavenworth, a Los Angeles fugitive who had been convicted of bank fraud, has been arrested in Rancho Santa Fe. FBI spokesman Gary Laturno said Leavenworth, 41, was arrested Saturday afternoon at a home on Circo Diegueno Road, where he apparently had been living. Leavenworth is scheduled to appear before a federal magistrate today and will then be returned to Los Angeles for sentencing. He said Leavenworth was convicted in November of 18 counts of fraud involving $500,000 in losses in the Orange County area. Leavenworth failed to appear for sentencing in December and has been sought by the FBI, Laturno said.
