Texas oilman T. Boone Pickens, in an appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” suggested that he could change his investment in Los Angeles-based Unocal to a takeover bid. Pickens said his 9.7% stake in Unocal was currently “for investment purposes only,” but that could change. “At some time in the future we could change our minds,” he said. But he stressed that, if this change took place, his partnership would have to file such an intention with the SEC.
