SCC Wins 11th Straight, 93-75

Southern California College ended its regular season with its 11th-straight win, a 93-75 victory over UC San Diego in nonconference action Friday night at San Diego.
The Vanguards, who finished first in the NAIA District 3 Southern Division, closed with a 24-4 overall, 9-2 conference record. The Tritons are 14-2 in Division 3 play.
Junior guard Randy McAllister, who scored 10 points for SCC, had the Vanguards’ toughest defensive assignment of the night--guarding Triton Richard Nixon.
SCC led most of the game, but in the second half UCSD closed to within five points, 58-53. The Vanguards quickly switched defenses and McAllister kept Nixon, who led all scorers with 25 points, to just 10 points in the second half.
The Vanguards were led by senior forward Neil Anderson with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Senior center Mike Bruce added 12 points and 8 rebounds.
Sherwin Durham added 13 points for SCC and Ken Bardsley had 10.
