STOCKTON — A Stockton woman pleaded innocent today to a charge of kidnaping and robbing the elderly mother of San Diego Chargers owner Alex G. Spanos.
Ronca Lee Boyd, 34, appeared in shackles before Stockton Municipal Judge Bernard J. Garber. Boyd was accused of taking Eva Spanos, 84, out of her Stockton condominium at gunpoint, forcing her to write a $1,000 check and then locking her in a storage closet at the condominium complex where Boyd lived. Mrs. Spanos was found unharmed about four hours after she disappeared Feb. 15, and Boyd was arrested the next day.
