2 Nkomo Followers Doomed in Zimbabwe

HARARE, Zimbabwe — Two Zimbabwean army deserters loyal to opposition leader Joshua Nkomo were sentenced to death Wednesday after being convicted of murdering a white couple and a black man.
Mike Sibanda and Conciwe Nkomo, both 26, who, supported Nkomo during the 1970s guerrilla war against white-minority rule, were doomed in the killing of Ian Michael and his wife, Dorothy, in December, 1982, and Gibson Puri the previous August.
