CHICAGO — Byron Scott is listed as probable for the Lakers’ game tonight against the Chicago Bulls, which begins a four-game trip through the Eastern Conference.
Scott, who sprained his right ankle in Sunday’s 117-111 victory over Boston at the Forum, had his injury treated Monday.
Larry Spriggs also has an ankle injury and Coach Pat Riley kept him out of the game with the Celtics as a precautionary measure.
The Lakers (38-16) are working on a six-game winning streak. The Bulls defeated the Lakers in their only meeting this season. The Bulls (25-27) have been struggling lately.
Despite Michael Jordan’s 26 points, the Bulls lost to Milwaukee by 20 points Sunday. The good news is that veteran center Caldwell Jones has returned to the active roster after breaking his hand.
The rest of the Lakers’ trip includes stops at Kansas City Wednesday night, Indiana Friday night and New York Sunday afternoon.
