Man, 26, Dies of Burns Received in Accident

A 26-year-old Santa Ana man has died of burns received in an accident at a plating shop Jan. 30, coroner’s officials confirmed Sunday.
Eugenio Castelan died Friday at UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was taken after he fell into a vat of corrosive liquid at the Production Plating Co. in Huntington Beach, said coroner’s deputy Richard Rodriguez.
Castelan suffered second- and third-degree burns over 80% of his body from the accident.
