A 23-year-old El Cajon woman was killed Friday afternoon when she lost control of her car and it slid down an embankment along Bear Valley Road, one mile south of Interstate 8 in Pine Valley, the California Highway Patrol reported. The victim, identified by the CHP as Dana Masias, was killed when she was partially ejected from the car and it overturned, crushing her. A passenger, Linda Weaklem, 22, also of El Cajon, received minor injuries in the accident, the CHP said. The car was traveling between 25 and 30 m.p.h. at the time of the accident, investigators said.
