Fluor Engineers Inc., a unit of the Fluor Corp. in Irvine, has been awarded a $35-million contract by Union Oil Co. of California to replace a portion of Union’s Chicago refinery.
The contract calls for Fluor Engineers to replace a part of the refinery that was damaged by a recent fire. Construction will be performed by Fluor Constructors Inc. and is expected to be completed in August.
