A federal appellate court in San Francisco has approved the housing of two inmates to a cell in the San Luis Obispo Prison, rejecting a class-action suit by the facility’s inmates. The ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals affected only the one prison and will have no immediate effect on a ban on cell-sharing at San Quentin, Folsom and Soledad prisons and the Deuel Vocational Institute.
