Hart held Burroughs to 21 points in the second half and overcame a 34-26 halftime deficit to win a Foothill League game at Hart. Kevin Honaker, a senior guard, made 12 of 14 free throws in the fourth quarter to help Hart’s Indians outscore Burroughs’ Indians, 19-13, in the final eight minutes.
Dirk Hare had 16 points for Hart, while Ray Rodriquez had 20 points for Burroughs. Hart is 6-2 in league and 15-6 overall. Burroughs drops to 3-5 in league.
“The defensive pressure we had in the second half turned the game around,” Hart Coach Doug Michelson said.
