The Chapman College baseball team scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning and beat Azusa Pacific, 4-2, in a nonconference game at Azusa.
Trailing, 2-1, the Panthers got consecutive hits from Mike Halasz, Dan Grijalva and Mike Kinnersly to take a 3-1 lead. The Panthers (2-0) added another run in the ninth.
Pitcher Mike Lomeli (2-0) went all the way for Chapman, allowing seven hits.
