MOSCOW — The 48th game of the world chess championship between titleholder Anatoly Karpov and challenger Gary Kasparov, which had been scheduled for Wednesday, has been postponed until Friday because Karpov is taking a timeout, the official Tass news agency reported. Karpov leads in the match, 5-2, and needs one more win to retain his title.
