With proof of financial backing in hand, the developer of the proposed Carson Hilton has requested that city officials reconsider his offer to build a $22-million Civic Center hotel.
The request for reconsideration--and re-extension of a previously approved $2-million city loan--was made this week on the heels of a city decision last week to seek other hotel developers to replace the proposed Hilton development.
City officials asked staff members to prepare a report on the Hilton proposal for the council’s Feb. 19 meeting.
