Losses at BoMed Medical Manufacturing Ltd. widened during its fourth quarter and fiscal year, ended Nov. 30, the company reported last week.
In the fourth quarter, the Irvine-based company lost $275,595, compared to a loss of $113,645 in the same quarter of the previous year. BoMed, which develops and markets instruments for monitoring the heart and circulatory system, had revenues of $90,120 for the quarter, down 8.7% from $98,730 from the year-ago quarter.
For its 1984 fiscal year, the company lost $1.3 million, compared to $382,705 for fiscal year 1983.
Karen Carpenter, BoMed’s controller, attributed the losses to lower than expected sales and product delays during clinical testing stages.
