Hollywood Postal Station Opens

The U.S. Postal Service has opened its new $2.9-million Sunset Station in Hollywood at 1425 N. Cherokee Ave.
With the opening, the Cole Branch at 1125 N. Fairfax Ave. has transferred all processing and mail delivery services to the station, and the Osbourne Station at 1767 N. Highland Ave. has closed its doors permanently.
Built by Strauss Construction Co., the new, 15,000-square-foot station houses 1,180 new post office boxes and five retail window units, and services 52 delivery routes. The new station is open Monday through Saturday.
