Local News in Brief : Debate Set on Burbank City Council Districts

Six Burbank residents, several of them candidates in this month’s City Council election, Monday night will debate the merits of two ballot measures that propose dividing Burbank into five council districts. All council candidates now run citywide.
The debate, sponsored by the Burbank Neighborhood Awareness Committee, will also include questioning of the participants, featuring questions by members of the news media, according to Jef Vander Borght, debate moderator.
The debate will be from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Burbank Board of Education Auditorium, 330 N. Buena Vista St.
