Still in serious condition at St. John’s Hospital and Health Center in Santa Monica was Fumiko Kimura, 32, who allegedly tried to kill herself by walking into the ocean with her two young children. Her 6-month-old daughter, Yuri, remained on the critical list at UCLA Medical Center. Her 4-year-old son, Kazutaka, died at Santa Monica Hospital after the three were pulled from the surf Tuesday. Santa Monica police, who reportedly intended to book the mother for investigation of murder and attempted murder, said the mother apparently was despondent over trouble with her husband, Chatsworth restaurant owner Itsuroku Kimura, 40.
