Oak Park’s Lauren Varney broke the school record for career scoring Thursday night in a 48-28 victory over Fillmore.

Varney, after finished the game with 19 points, has amassed 1,371 points in the last four years. She surpassed Michelle Bregar’s record 1,363 points, set in 2002.
