Girls’ basketball: Brea Olinda has halftime lead over Mater Dei

Brea Olinda, ranked No. 3 in the nation by Maxpreps, has a 26-21 halftime lead over top-rated Mater Dei tonight at the Tony Matson Memorial Classic.

The Monarchs had a 9-0 advantage early in the first quarter, then Brea Olinda went on a 14-2 run to end the first with a 14-11 lead.

Jeanier Olukemi scored nine points and Breana Buczek had seven for Brea Olinda. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis led Mater Dei with 14 points.
