Ducks put Carter on injured reserve, recall Beleskey

The Ducks placed forward Ryan Carter on injured reserve Friday because of a bone bruise and recalled left wing Matt Beleskey from San Antonio of the American Hockey League.

Carter took a shot in the foot during Wednesday’s game-day skate and his foot remains too swollen for him to put on his skate boot. X-rays and an MRI didn’t detect any fractures. Beleskey had one goal and three points in eight games with San Antonio this season.
