The State Department says the U.S. death toll in the Haiti earthquake has risen to 15.
The total includes one State Department employee and 14 private American citizens.
The State Department had reported on Friday that the toll was six confirmed dead, plus 15 presumed to have died.
Today the department made no mention of numbers presumed dead. It said a total of 15 were confirmed dead. It also reported 23 Americans seriously injured and three U.S. government employees missing.
