Fans of Bloom County may find something recognizable in a TV series that cartoonist Berkeley Breathed is producing with Technicolor based on his children’s book ‘Pete & Pickles.’
In typically unpredictable fashion, rather than posing for a traditional portrait, Breathed opted on a whim to spray paint his own mural of the two lead characters on the wall of a boardroom at Technicolor’s office in Hollywood. Naturally, he was wearing a fine cream-colored suit and had no shoes on.
Technicolor executives gladly obliged, even if it meant spray-painting over the company’s new logo. After all, he is a Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist.
For more on Breathed’s latest project and what it means for Technicolor, see our story in Tuesday’s Los Angeles Times.
